Unless the spirit of Jesus dwells within us. We will all perish before the presence of God.

Abiding in Christ!

Unless the spirit of Jesus dwells within us. We will all perish before the presence of God.

Jesus is fully God and yet fully man. After the resurrection He is able to dwell with God because the Holy spirit dwells in Him.

No one is able to stand before the glory of God

1 Samuel 6:20
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
20 The men of Beth-shemesh said, “(A)Who is able to stand before the Lord, this holy God? And to whom shall He go up from us?”

Revelation 20:11
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
Judgment at the Throne of God
11 Then I saw a great white (A)throne and Him who sat upon it, from whose [a]presence (B)earth and heaven fled away, and (C)no place was found for them.

Clothes yourselves with the righteousness of Christ.

Romans 13:14
New Living Translation (NLT)
14 Instead, clothe yourself with the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ. And don’t let yourself think about ways to indulge your evil desires.

Isaiah 61:10
English Standard Version (ESV)
10 (A)I will greatly rejoice in the Lord;
my soul shall exult in my God,
(B)for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation;
he has covered me with the robe of righteousness,
as a bridegroom decks himself (C)like a priest with a beautiful headdress,
(D)and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.

Revelation 19:7-8
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
7 Let us rejoice and be glad and (A)give the glory to Him, for (B)the marriage of the Lamb has come and His [a](C)bride has made herself ready.” 8 It was given to her to clothe herself in (D)fine linen, bright and clean; for the fine linen is the (E)righteous acts of the [b]saints.

Galatians 3:26-27
New Living Translation (NLT)
26 For you are all children[a] of God through faith in Christ Jesus. 27 And all who have been united with Christ in baptism have put on Christ, like putting on new clothes.[b]

Not of your own righteousness but the righteousness of Christ

Matthew 22:12-13
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
12 and he *said to him, ‘(A)Friend, how did you come in here without wedding clothes?’ And the man was speechless. 13 Then the king said to the servants, ‘Bind him hand and foot, and throw him into (B)the outer darkness; in that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’

Romans 10:3
New Living Translation (NLT)
3 For they don’t understand God’s way of making people right with himself. Refusing to accept God’s way, they cling to their own way of getting right with God by trying to keep the law.

Philippians 3:8-9
New Living Translation (NLT)
8 Yes, everything else is worthless when compared with the infinite value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have discarded everything else, counting it all as garbage, so that I could gain Christ 9 and become one with him. I no longer count on my own righteousness through obeying the law; rather, I become righteous through faith in Christ.[a] For God’s way of making us right with himself depends on faith.

The spirit of Jesus lives in you just as the spirit of God lives in Jesus.

Luke 3:22
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
22 and the Holy Spirit descended upon Him in bodily form like a dove, and a voice came out of heaven, “(A)You are My beloved Son, in You I am well-pleased.”

John 14:20
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
20 (A)In that day you will know that (B)I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you.

Unless the spirit of Christ lives in us, we cannot go to the Father.

John 14:6
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
6 Jesus *said to him, “I am (A)the way, and (B)the truth, and (C)the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.

New American Standard Bible (NASB)

John 15:4
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
4 (A)Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit [a]of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me.

Romans 8:29
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
29 For those whom He (A)foreknew, He also (B)predestined to become (C)conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the (D)firstborn among many brethren;

Romans 8:9-11
New Living Translation (NLT)
9 But you are not controlled by your sinful nature. You are controlled by the Spirit if you have the Spirit of God living in you. (And remember that those who do not have the Spirit of Christ living in them do not belong to him at all.) 10 And Christ lives within you, so even though your body will die because of sin, the Spirit gives you life[a] because you have been made right with God. 11 The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you.

Romans 8:15-17
New Living Translation (NLT)
15 So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God’s Spirit when he adopted you as his own children.[a] Now we call him, “Abba, Father.”[b] 16 For his Spirit joins with our spirit to affirm that we are God’s children. 17 And since we are his children, we are his heirs. In fact, together with Christ we are heirs of God’s glory. But if we are to share his glory, we must also share his suffering.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
19 Or (A)do you not know that (B)your body is a [a]temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from [b]God, and that (C)you are not your own? 20 For (D)you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in (E)your body.

The Spirit of Christ will sustain you in His presence without perishing.

Matthew 22:30
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
30 For in the resurrection they neither (A)marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven.

1 Corinthians 15:45

1 Corinthians 15:51-53
New Living Translation (NLT)
51 But let me reveal to you a wonderful secret. We will not all die, but we will all be transformed! 52 It will happen in a moment, in the blink of an eye, when the last trumpet is blown. For when the trumpet sounds, those who have died will be raised to live forever. And we who are living will also be transformed. 53 For our dying bodies must be transformed into bodies that will never die; our mortal bodies must be transformed into immortal bodies.

2 Corinthians 3:18
New Living Translation (NLT)
18 So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord—who is the Spirit—makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image.

1 John 3:2
English Standard Version (ESV)
