Why God allows wicked man to exist?

Why God allows wicked man to exist?

God is Just. If he were to punish one wicked man, then He has to punish all wicked man.

I don't have enough faith to claim to be a good man.

2 Peter 3:9
New King James Version (NKJV)

9 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us,[a] not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

How did you come to be a Christian?

How did you come to be a Christian?

I sought the Lord. But how did you come to seek the Lord? The truth flashed across my mind in a moment—I should not have sought Him unless there had been some previous influence in my mind to make me seek Him. I prayed, thought I, but then I asked myself, How came I to pray? I was induced to pray by reading the Scriptures. How came I to read the Scriptures? I did read them, but what led me to do so? Then, in a moment, I saw that God was at the bottom of it all, and that He was the Author of my faith, and so the whole doctrine of grace opened up to me, and from that doctrine I have not departed to this day, and I desire to make this my constant confession, "I ascribe my change wholly to God."

Are evil people destined to do evil?

Are evil people destined to do evil?
==========================

No one is good except God alone.
All man are evil apart from the saving grace of God.
Evil people do evil because it is their nature.

Predestination is not required for evil man to do evil.
God is not evil and will not predestine people to do evil.
For He does not delight in seeing the wicked perish.

When God grant repentance

When God grant repentance
====================

When god grant repentance, you will no longer enjoy the Sin you once love.

You will feel as though something strange is happening to you as the spirit sanctify you.

There will still be indwelling Sin within us. And this will be our struggle until the day we meet Christ.

However the man of God will not continue living in Sin. He hate Sin.

No matter how many time the righteous fall, he will return to God.

I was a little scared about the topic of Death

Question:
'I was a little scared about the topic (of Death). As in, I do not know when i am going die so, i'm afraid that i have not believed yet and i would probably go to hell and not see [my family]...'

Answer:
1.The very reason that you are scared of Hell, have indeed display some evidence that the Lord was working in your life.

~Jeremiah 32:40
New King James Version (NKJV)
 40 And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from doing them good; but I will put My fear in their hearts so that they will not depart from Me

2.And if the Lord was working in your life, rest assured he will make His work complete in you.

~Philippians 1:6
New King James Version (NKJV)
6 being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;

3.Unbeliever do not fear God and his judgement of Hell.

~Romans 1:32
New Living Translation (NLT)
32 They know God’s justice requires that those who do these things deserve to die, yet they do them anyway. Worse yet, they encourage others to do them, too.

4.Since these people do not have any fear of God, God gave them over to a depraved mind.

~Romans 1:28
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
28 And just as they did not see fit [a]to acknowledge God any longer, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which are not proper,

5.The unbelieving are not of the Lord, they do not believe in heaven much less hell.
  Ultimately they are the ones God consign to hell

~Revelation 21:8
New International Version (NIV)
8 But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.”

6.Mean while since you have heard the good news and the Lord has granted you repentance to believe in Him, make your election sure by living a cruxiform life pleasing to the Lord.

~Galatians 5:6
New Living Translation (NLT)
6 For when we place our faith in Christ Jesus, there is no benefit in being circumcised or being uncircumcised. What is important is faith expressing itself in love.

~2 Peter 1:5-7
New King James Version (NKJV)
5 But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, 6 to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, 7 to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love

~2 Peter 1:10
New King James Version (NKJV)
10 Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble;

7.Do not grow weary while doing good.

~Galatians 6:9
New King James Version (NKJV)
9 And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.

8.Perform deeds that is evident of your faith

~James 2:18
New Living Translation (NLT)
18 Now someone may argue, “Some people have faith; others have good deeds.” But I say, “How can you show me your faith if you don’t have good deeds? I will show you my faith by my good deeds.”

9.Encourage one another daily.

~Hebrews 10:24-25
New Living Translation (NLT)
24 Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. 25 And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.

10.Bear fruit in keeping with repentance

~Matthew 3:8
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
8 Therefore bear fruit in keeping with repentance;

~Acts 26:20
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
20 but kept declaring both to those of Damascus first, and also at Jerusalem and then throughout all the region of Judea, and even to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, performing deeds appropriate to repentance.

11.Something noteworthy:

~C.H Spurgeon
"He who does not believe that God will cast unbelievers into hell, will not be sure that he will take believers to heaven."

"If any man can say, “I am sure of Heaven, and I am proud of it,” he may take my word for it that he is secure of Hell! If your religion puffs you up, puff your religion away, for it is not worth a puff!"

12.If a child can't understand, I guess adults won't be able to understand it either..

~Matthew 18:3
New King James Version (NKJV)
3 and said, “Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.

Some common questions and answers pertaining to Calvinism inquired by an Arminian.

Some common questions and answers pertaining to Calvinism inquired by an Arminian.

The following questions are the original question being posted.

1.What Love is this not to provide opportunity for salvation for some sending them to Hell without recourse, making the God of Calvinism the author of evil rather than using evil for good?

2.What Love is this to save someone against their wills like robot and without requiring from them their ability to repent first. There is no genuine repentance therefore in Calvinism which then would be unsalvation a salvation without repentence.

3.Why confuse all the scripture creating a false legalism that refer to propensity to sin as total inability and total depravity for we can still choose the good that are still meeting God image perfect sin list?

4.Why plead for every one salvation when Jesus only die for some. That is mocking and berating Him. I tell you that you are a fool for not walking to the stall when you have no leg no opportunity.

5.Why do some Calvinist teach unlimited atonement and at the same time teach limited atonement. Seem like a blatant contradiction embrassment conceal by this double tongue so the two will contradication is used to rationlize.

6.If the God of Calvinism could save all why doesn't He. What Love is this in OSAS Arminianism God doesn't save all because some refuse the cross of salvation. If God of Calvinism could save all, why doesn't He?

Do man have free will to choose God?

Do man have free will to choose God?

God is sovereign. And every thing good comes from God.

James 1:17
New Living Translation (NLT)
17 Whatever is good and perfect comes down to us from God our Father,
who created all the lights in the heavens.[a] He never changes or casts
a shifting shadow.[b]

We are totally depraved and incapable of doing good. Thus every bad choice comes from man.

Romans 3:10-12
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
10 as it is written,
“(A)There is none righteous, not even one;
11 There is none who understands,
There is none who seeks for God;
12 All have turned aside, together they have become useless;
There is none who does good,
There is not even one.”

When we choose to sin, it is our sinful nature that cause us to sin not God.

James 1:13
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
13 Let no one say when he is tempted, “(A)I am being tempted [a]by God”;
for God cannot be tempted [b]by evil, and He Himself does not tempt
anyone.
No one is good except God alone

Luke 18:19
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
19 And Jesus said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good
except God alone.

In our innate sinful nature we are only capable of choosing bad and incapable of choosing Good.

Matthew 15:19
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
19 (A)For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, [a]
fornications, thefts, false witness, slanders.

Jeremiah 13:23
New Living Translation (NLT)
23 Can an Ethiopian[a] change the color of his skin?
    Can a leopard take away its spots?
Neither can you start doing good,
    for you have always done evil.

That is why we are unable to choose God that is good.

John 6:63-65
New Living Translation (NLT)
63 The Spirit alone gives eternal life. Human effort accomplishes
nothing. And the very words I have spoken to you are spirit and life. 64
But some of you do not believe me.” (For Jesus knew from the beginning
which ones didn’t believe, and he knew who would betray him.) 65 Then he
said, “That is why I said that people can’t come to me unless the Father
gives them to me.”

The equation here is not one plus one equals two; that is capable of choosing both good and bad.

The equation here is 0 plus 2 equal to 2; we are zero God is 2 ie; We're nothing, God is every thing

We can only choose evil. Every thing about us is evil.

Matthew 7:11
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
11 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your
children, (A)how much more will your Father who is in heaven give what
is good to those who ask Him

When we do what is good, it does not results from us but from God who enable us.

1 Corinthians 2:14
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
14 But [a]a (A)natural man (B)does not accept the things of the Spirit
of God, for they are (C)foolishness to him; and he cannot understand
them, because they are spiritually [b]appraised.

Ephesians 1:3-6
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
3 (A)Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has
blessed us with every spiritual blessing in (B)the heavenly places in
Christ, 4 just as (C)He chose us in Him before (D)the foundation of the
world, that we would be (E)holy and blameless before [a]Him. (F)In love
5 [b]He (G)predestined us to (H)adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to
Himself, (I)according to the [c]kind intention of His will, 6 (J)to the
praise of the glory of His grace, which He freely bestowed on us in (K)
the Beloved.

Ezekiel 36:27
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
27 I will (A)put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My
statutes, and you will be careful to observe My ordinances.

Hebrews 13:20-21
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
20 Now (A)the God of peace, who (B)brought up from the dead the (C)great
Shepherd of the sheep [a]through (D)the blood of the (E)eternal
covenant, even Jesus our Lord, 21 (F)equip you in every good thing to do
His will, (G)working in us that (H)which is pleasing in His sight,
through Jesus Christ, (I)to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen.

Philippians 1:6
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
6 For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work
in you will perfect it until (A)the day of Christ Jesus.

When we do what is good,we must be careful to acknowledge that it is not from us but are unworthy servant that have only do our part.

Luke 17:10
New Living Translation (NLT)
10 In the same way, when you obey me you should say, ‘We are unworthy
servants who have simply done our duty.’”

For all our works are like filthy rag.

Isaiah 64:6
New Living Translation (NLT)
6 We are all infected and impure with sin.
    When we display our righteous deeds,
    they are nothing but filthy rags.
Like autumn leaves, we wither and fall,
    and our sins sweep us away like the wind.

God gets the credit for the good we have done. He gets the glory not us.

1 Peter 4:11
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
11 (A)Whoever speaks, is to do so [a]as one who is speaking the (B)
utterances of God; whoever serves is to do so as one who is serving [b]
(C)by the strength which God supplies; so that (D)in all things God may
be glorified through Jesus Christ, (E)to whom belongs the glory and
dominion forever and ever. Amen.

By humbly acknowledging that all good works came as a result of the manifestation of grace throught faith in Christ saves us from being proud.

Ephesians 2:8-9 New American Standard Bible (NASB)
8 For (A)by grace you have been saved (B)through faith; and [a]that not
of yourselves, it is (C)the gift of God; 9 (D)not as a result of works,
so that (E)no one may boast.

God is opposed to the proud, but gives grace to the humble.

Psalm 5:5
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
5 The (A)boastful shall not (B)stand before Your eyes;
You (C)hate all who do iniquity.

James 4:6
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
6 But (A)He gives a greater grace. Therefore it says, “(B)God is opposed
to the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”

Luke 18:10-14
New Living Translation (NLT)
10 “Two men went to the Temple to pray. One was a Pharisee, and the
other was a despised tax collector. 11 The Pharisee stood by himself and
prayed this prayer[a]: ‘I thank you, God, that I am not a sinner like
everyone else. For I don’t cheat, I don’t sin, and I don’t commit
adultery. I’m certainly not like that tax collector! 12 I fast twice a
week, and I give you a tenth of my income.’
13 “But the tax collector stood at a distance and dared not even lift
his eyes to heaven as he prayed. Instead, he beat his chest in sorrow,
saying, ‘O God, be merciful to me, for I am a sinner.’ 14 I tell you,
this sinner, not the Pharisee, returned home justified before God. For
those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble
themselves will be exalted.”

So in conclusion,when you choose to sin it's has nothing to do with God but every thing to do with you.

However when you do good, is it not of you but of God working in you because every good things come from God.

No one is good except God alone.

There is some goodness in man because we are made in the image of God.

Adam eat the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil and become like God knowing both good and evil hence capable of doing both good and evil.

~ J. C. Ryle
"Let it be a settled principle ...that men's salvation, if saved, is wholly of God; and that man's ruin, if lost, is wholly of himself."

Genesis 3:22
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
22 Then the Lord God said, “Behold, the man has become like one of (A)
Us, knowing good and evil; and now, he might stretch out his hand, and
take also from (B)the tree of life, and eat, and live forever”—

Goodness in man is the result of common grace of God not from man.

Man has the free will to choose bad but does not have the free will to choose
good because they are incapable of chosing good.

If there is anything that you can choose apart from the supernatural work of God in your heart to assist you on your decision making,that has to be evil.

Therefore it is crucial to understand that man cannot choose God.

So than how do we know God?

By God's mercy.

Romans 9:15-16
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
15 For He says to Moses, “(A)I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and
I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.” 16 So then it does
not depend on the man who wills or the man who (B)runs, but on (C)God
who has mercy.

By grace through faith in Christ Jesus

2 Timothy 1:9
New Living Translation (NLT)
9 For God saved us and called us to live a holy life. He did this, not
because we deserved it, but because that was his plan from before the
beginning of time—to show us his grace through Christ Jesus.

God will grant you repentance.

2 Timothy 2:25
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
25 (A)with gentleness correcting those who are in opposition, (B)if perhaps God may grant them repentance leading to (C)the knowledge of the truth,

Through regeneration (awakening) to His calling.

Titus 3:5
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
5 (A)He saved us, (B)not on the basis of deeds which we have done in
righteousness, but (C)according to His mercy, by the (D)washing of
regeneration and (E)renewing by the Holy Spirit,

By believing in God who justifies the ungodly, your faith will be credited as righteousness

Romans 4:5
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
5 But to the one who does not work, but (A)believes in Him who justifies
the ungodly, his faith is credited as righteousness,

God will work in your heart to be responsive towards His calling.

Ezekiel 11:19
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
19 And I will (A)give them one heart, and put a new spirit within [a]
them. And I will take the (B)heart of stone out of their flesh and give
them a (C)heart of flesh,

Jeremiah 24:7
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
7 I will give them a (A)heart to know Me, for I am the Lord; and they
will be (B)My people, and I will be their God, for they will (C)return
to Me with their whole heart.

He will put His Spirit within you and cause you to walk in His statutes

Ezekiel 36:27
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
27 I will (A)put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My
statutes, and you will be careful to observe My ordinances.

John 16:7
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
7 But I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the [a](A)Helper will not come to you; but if I go, (B)I will send Him to you.

God will put the fear of Him in your heart so that you will not turn away from Him

Jeremiah 32:40
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
40 I will make an (A)everlasting covenant with them that I will (B)not
turn away from them, to do them good; and I will (C)put the fear of Me
in their hearts so that they will not turn away from Me.

God will draw you with an everlasting love.

Jeremiah 31:3
New Living Translation (NLT)
3 Long ago the Lord said to Israel:
“I have loved you, my people, with an everlasting love.
    With unfailing love I have drawn you to myself.

The Holy Spirit will work in you to believe in Him

1 Corinthians 12:3
New Living Translation (NLT)
3 So I want you to know that no one speaking by the Spirit of God will curse Jesus, and no one can say Jesus is Lord, except by the Holy Spirit.

You will naturally be responsive towards God's calling if you are the chosen one of God.

John 6:37
New King James Version (NKJV)
37 All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes
to Me I will by no means cast out.

If the choice is given to us to choose Him, since we are totally deprave and unable to choose God, We will blasphemy against God by profaning His name and as a result every one will end up in Hell.

And God is being fair to sent us to hell. Because man deserve to go to hell.

Praise God that He first chose us even before the foundation of the world.

If we are able to do good, we will be judge by all the good deeds that we fail to do.

If we are given the free will to choose God, Then we are also along with it given the responsibility to choose good. Since we are totally depraved and unable to do good. We will be condemned if God were to judge us base on all the good we failed to do.

James 2:10
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
10 For whoever keeps the whole [a]law and yet (A)stumbles in one point, he has become (B)guilty of all.

Galatians 3:10
New Living Translation (NLT)
10 But those who depend on the law to make them right with God are under his curse, for the Scriptures say, “Cursed is everyone who does not observe and obey all the commands that are written in God’s Book of the Law.”[a]

Philippians 3:9
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
9 and may be found in Him, not having (A)a righteousness of my own derived from the Law, but that which is through faith in Christ, (B)the righteousness which comes from God on the basis of faith,

For if keeping the law could make us right with God, then there was no need for Christ to die.

Galatians 2:19-21
New Living Translation (NLT)
19 For when I tried to keep the law, it condemned me. So I died to the law—I stopped trying to meet all its requirements—so that I might live for God. 20 My old self has been crucified with Christ.[a] It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. 21 I do not treat the grace of God as meaningless. For if keeping the law could make us right with God, then there was no need for Christ to die.

Praise God that it is God that works in us for all the good that we do. For if that isn't the case, if God were to kept a record of whatever good that was not done base on the old covenent law, no one can survive.

Psalm 130:3
New Living Translation (NLT)
3 Lord, if you kept a record of our sins,
    who, O Lord, could ever survive?

However for every evil deed that we do, God will held us responsible.

Romans 2:5-11
New Living Translation (NLT)
5 But because you are stubborn and refuse to turn from your sin, you are storing up terrible punishment for yourself. For a day of anger is coming, when God’s righteous judgment will be revealed. 6 He will judge everyone according to what they have done. 7 He will give eternal life to those who keep on doing good, seeking after the glory and honor and immortality that God offers. 8 But he will pour out his anger and wrath on those who live for themselves, who refuse to obey the truth and instead live lives of wickedness. 9 There will be trouble and calamity for everyone who keeps on doing what is evil—for the Jew first and also for the Gentile.[a] 10 But there will be glory and honor and peace from God for all who do good—for the Jew first and also for the Gentile. 11 For God does not show favoritism.

God may also chose to harden the heart of people so that they are unable to know Him.

Romans 9:18
New Living Translation (NLT)
18 So you see, God chooses to show mercy to some, and he chooses to
harden the hearts of others so they refuse to listen.

Romans 11:7
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
7 What then? What (A)Israel is seeking, it has not obtained, but [a]
those who were chosen obtained it, and the rest were (B)hardened;

Romans 9:22
New Living Translation (NLT)
22 In the same way, even though God has the right to show his anger and
his power, he is very patient with those on whom his anger falls, who
are destined for destruction.

Everything good comes from God and yet we must not grow weary in doing good which is from God.

Galatians 6:9
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
9 (A)Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we (B)do not grow weary.

James 4:17
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
17 Therefore, (A)to one who knows the [a]right thing to do and does not do it, to him it is sin.

Romans 2:7
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
7 to those who by (A)perseverance in doing good seek for (B)glory and honor and (C)immortality, (D)eternal life;

So than the ability to know God is not of your choice. It has nothing to
do with you. But every thing to do with God working in you causing you
to turn to Him so that no man can boast. Saving you from the wrath of God.

"I don't understand Election" Paul Washer answers

Is man radically deprave?

Because if he is,if he is truly dead in his sin, if he truly hates God, if all man are equally evil, and they are.
Then the question is, how are you standing here right now believing God while some of your friends who are more moral than you still hate Him.

What happened?

If you say you opened up your ,heart. I'll say "No you didn't." because the bible said God opened up Lydia's heart.

Acts 16:14
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
First Convert in Europe
14 A woman named Lydia, from the city of (A)Thyatira, a seller of purple fabrics, (B)a worshiper of God, was listening; [a]and the Lord (C)opened her heart to respond to the things spoken by Paul.

If you say, well, I repented." well,repentance is an evengelical grace in all the confessions that means it comes from God as a gift.

If you say,"Well, I believe."

Ephesians 2:8 New Living Translation (NLT) "8 God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God."

It also is a gift."

"See, first of all, your problem is this: let's say there's no election.Let's say that men are radically depraved and no man can come to God unless God draws him.

So God coems down to every man and says, "Anyone who will bow their knee to Me, anyone who will accept my Son as trheir Savior, will be saved." Since evey man is radically depraved, they all hate God.
They all blaspheme Him, turn around, walk away and go to hell. The whole world goes to Hell. Is that Gods fault?

Alright, let's say that really is the reality, let's say that the Bible is true and that men hate God that much. So who going to get saved? Absolutely no one.

And if God saved no one because every one is evil (Matthew 7:11) and rejects Him, is God wrong in doing that? No. So, that is what you've got the whole world hating God and going to Hell. That it.

The other option is, among these evil men,for His own glory and to demonstrate His own kindness before the foundation of the world. He chooses a group of men out of there to demonstrate His glory in them.
Is that wrong? Did he rip the other man off? What did he do? You've got two choices: God saves a group of people by His own sovereignty or everybody goes to Hell.Every body... because men are that evil.
See, your problem... see, what you need to realise is this,if God, right now,were to throw open the door of Hell and say, "Everyone who wants out of Hell, the only thing you have to do is bow your knee to me and recognise my Lordship".

they'll slam the door and stay in Hell. See, what you don't realise because of the humanistic Christianity in America. You don't realise that men are really evil.

They really are evil.I'll give an example. Have any of you seen the Lord of the ring? Saruman makes these orcs, they come out of the ground evil.Alright, Aragon, all the heros in the movie slaughter them like they were insects.And every time an orc gets killed, what do you do...yah-a-hay! Why?

Because those orcs really are evil.There's your problem - you don't think men are. Men really are evil. Men really deserve Hell. So, it says.. you know, we talk about the doctrine of inability. That men cannot come to God.Jesus said that in John 6:63-65 If you say, if men can't come to God then how can God judge them?
It's like judging a blind man because he can't read. If men can't come to God then... man's not a culprit,he's a victim. But here's what you have to understand, men cannot come to God. Because they will not come to God.And they will not come to God because they hate Him. And therefore they are responsible.Men are evil.

God is good. So... man hate God.they hat His LAw,they hate every thing about Him.it says of Joseph's brothers:they could not speak to him peaceably. Now they spoke Aramaic, why couldn't they speak to him? They could not speak peaceably to Him because they hated him.That is whay no man will ever come to God. If God comes down and says, "Alright, everybody make their choice." No one's coming to God. Why? They hate Him.

And that is why they are judged for their moral inability. Because their inability is moral. They really hate God. So you've got a whole human race,every one of them is fallen, every one of them hates God. God comes down and says, "Who wants to be saved?" Everybody blasphemes the name of God, walks into Hell and slams the door.

That's what you've got. Because men really are evil. And if out of that Good says,For my own glory I am going to redeem a people and give them to my Son by my own choice,by my own sovereign election. He' done wrong to no one. Now, how does He save them? Here's a question: Are you spiritually dead prior to conversion?

"Well then,how do you come to Christ? If you are spiritually blind, how do you see Him? If some of it has to do with you, you're a dead man.If God calls your name, you hate Him. You're not going to come,you're going to run further away from Him.That is why in all... now, listen very carefully... in all the Christian confessions - the old Christian confessions. in the reformation early Baptist confession. You have been raised on this: "If you beileve in Jesus you can be born again."

All the early Baptist confessions say you must be born again in order to believe in Jesus. That's the different. Because if I tell a dead man: "Look" "You're dead but there's a hospital over here,put some electrodes on you so get up and follow me over to the hospital." It's non-sensical. He's dead. If he can get up he doesn't need to go to hospital.

So, when Jesus looked at Lazarus and said, "Lazarus, come forth. there's a problem - Lazarus is dead. How does he hear the command? The command was not only to be given. The moment the command is given,Lazarus must be resurrected to be able to even hear the command and respond.

That's why you probably heard the Gospel for many, many years and you're sitting there and you didn't care, it's no big deal, maybe you made a profession of faith... nothing. And then one day the Gospel is preached and whoosh! the blinders are taken off and not only that but you want Him.

Because some people say, well, what God does is He draws us to a certain point and then gives us a choice' there's a problem. If God only illuminates the mind of the sinner,then the more the sinner sees God,the more he's going to hate Him.So He not only illumates the mind,He changes the heart.With a new heart, for the first time you want Jesus and you say," I Love Him and I am irresistably drawn to Him. I want Him more than anything". That's what it is."

Regeneration

Regeneration

The meaning of rebirth here means regeneration (palingenesias,renewal)

Titus 3:5
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
5 (A)He saved us, (B)not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but (C)according to His mercy, by the (D)washing of regeneration and (E)renewing by the Holy Spirit,

Titus 3:5
New Living Translation (NLT)
5 he saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He washed away our sins, giving us a new birth and new life through the Holy Spirit.[a]

Matthew 19:28
Jesus said to them, "Most certainly I tell you that you who have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of Man will sit on the throne of his glory, you also will sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

John 3:1-8
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
The New Birth
3 Now there was a man of the Pharisees, named (A)Nicodemus, a (B)ruler of the Jews; 2 this man came to Jesus by night and said to Him, “(C)Rabbi, we know that You have come from God as a teacher; for no one can do these [a](D)signs that You do unless (E)God is with him.” 3 Jesus answered and said to him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one (F)is born [b]again he cannot see (G)the kingdom of God.”
4 Nicodemus *said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? He cannot enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born, can he?” 5 Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of (H)water and the Spirit he cannot enter into (I)the kingdom of God. 6 (J)That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Do not be amazed that I said to you, ‘You must be born [c]again.’ 8 (K)The wind blows where it wishes and you hear the sound of it, but do not know where it comes from and where it is going; so is everyone who is born of the Spirit.”

Ezekiel 37:1-14
New American Standard Bible (NASB)

Vision of the Valley of Dry Bones
37 The (A)hand of the Lord was upon me, and He (B)brought me out [a]by the Spirit of the Lord and set me down in the middle of the (C)valley; and it was full of bones. 2 He caused me to pass among them round about, and behold, there were very many on the surface of the valley; and lo, they were very dry. 3 He said to me, “Son of man, (D)can these bones live?” And I answered, “O Lord [b]God, (E)You know.” 4 Again He said to me, “(F)Prophesy over these bones and say to them, ‘O dry bones, (G)hear the word of the Lord.’ 5 Thus says the Lord God to these bones, ‘Behold, I will cause [c](H)breath to enter you that you may come to life. 6 I will put sinews on you, make flesh grow back on you, cover you with skin and put breath in you that you may come alive; and you will (I)know that I am the Lord.’”
7 So I prophesied (J)as I was commanded; and as I prophesied, there was a [d]noise, and behold, a rattling; and the bones came together, bone to its bone. 8 And I looked, and behold, sinews were on them, and flesh grew and skin covered them; but there was no breath in them. 9 Then He said to me, “Prophesy to the breath, prophesy, son of man, and say to the breath, ‘Thus says the Lord God, “Come from the four winds, O breath, and (K)breathe on these slain, that they (L)come to life.”’” 10 So I prophesied as He commanded me, and the (M)breath came into them, and they came to life and stood on their feet, an (N)exceedingly great army.

The Vision Explained
11 Then He said to me, “Son of man, these bones are the (O)whole house of Israel; behold, they say, ‘Our (P)bones are dried up and our hope has perished. We are [e]completely (Q)cut off.’ 12 Therefore prophesy and say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God, “Behold, I will open your graves and (R)cause you to come up out of your graves, My people; and I will bring you into the land of Israel. 13 Then you will know that I am the Lord, when I have opened your graves and caused you to come up out of your graves, My people. 14 I will (S)put My [f]Spirit within you and you will come to life, and I will place you on your own land. Then you will know that I, the Lord, have spoken and done it,” declares the Lord.’”

James 1:18
New Living Translation (NLT)
18 He chose to give birth to us by giving us his true word. And we, out of all creation, became his prized possession.[a]

Regeneration is a sovereign work of God (Jn. 1:12-13; 3:3-8; Jas. 1:18; 1 Pet. 1:3) a radical work or total transformation (Ezek. 36:26-27; 1 Jn. 3:9) not just an addition...The SOURCE of regeneration is Christ (1 Pet 1:3; Eph 1:3, 2:4, 4:24; 2 Cor 5:17) The AGENT of regeneration is the Holy Spirit (Jn. 3:3-8; Titus 3:5) The INSTRUMENT of regeneration is the Word of God (Jas. 1:18; 1 Pet. 1:23, 25) which precedes and causes faith (Jn 6:63-65, 1 jn 5:1, Eph. 2:5; Col. 2:13)

Did God limit our age?

Did God limit our age? And if He did, why did He when people in the bible like Noah could live up to 950 years?

Genesis 6:3
3 Then the Lord said, “(A)My Spirit shall not [b]strive with man forever, [c](B)because he also is flesh; [d]nevertheless his days shall be one hundred and twenty years.”

Genesis 6:5
5 Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great on the earth, and that (D)every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. 6 (E)The Lord was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was (F)grieved [e]in His heart.

Imagine if Hitler were to live 950 Years old what would happen to the world? The world would be in a chaos had not God intervene.

God created Adam and Eve because He wants them to lives happily eternally with God in the garden of eden. But because they have eaten the fruits of the knowledge of good and evil, they now know evil and is dangerous for mankind to live that long with the knowledge of evil. An idle mind is a devil's workshop. A few hundred years in the world would have made you a human with super intelligent and with a body that does not age, you could do amazing feat. That is very dangerous.

Since we are all fallen, it makes no sense to live this long. For all our days are but labor and sorrow. God is being merciful to have our life span reduce.

Psalm 90:10
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
10 As for the days of our [a]life, [b]they contain seventy years,
Or if due to strength, (A)eighty years,
Yet their pride is but (B)labor and sorrow;
For soon it is gone and we (C)fly away.

Do not despair! This is not the end of it. For there is still hope.

1 Corinthians 15:57
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
57 but (A)thanks be to God, who gives us the (B)victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

1 John 4:10
New American Standard Bible
In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. (Propitiation here means appeasing the wrath of God in place of us)

Romans 5:9
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
9 Much more then, having now been justified [a](A)by His(Jesus) blood, we shall be saved (B)from the wrath of God through Him(Jesus).

God now is not angry with our sin because Jesus appease the wrath of God by absorbing the punishment due us. When God is not angry with us, we can then dwell in the presence of God.

Jesus has drink the cup of the wrath of God in place of us.(Matthew 26:39)

Matthew 26:39
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
39 And He went a little beyond them, and fell on His face and prayed, saying, “My Father, if it is possible, let (A)this cup pass from Me; (B)yet not as I will, but as You will.”

The following verses explain that the cup contains the wrath of God.

Jeremiah 25:15
This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, said to me: "Take from my hand this cup filled with the wine of my wrath and make all the nations to whom I send you drink it.

Isaiah 51:22
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
22 Thus says your Lord, the Lord, even your God
Who (A)contends for His people,
“Behold, I have taken out of your hand the (B)cup of reeling,
The [a]chalice of My anger;
You will never drink it again.

John 3:36
New American Standard Bible
He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not obey the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.”

John 6:40
New American Standard Bible
For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who beholds the Son and believes in Him will have eternal life, and I Myself will raise him up on the last day.” (Jesus Himself will raise you up on the last day. And mankind again will live happily ever after just like the days of Adam and Eve.)

Psalm 150:6
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
6 Let (A)everything that has breath praise [a]the Lord.
[b]Praise [c]the Lord!

Why the gospel is for All if God already have elected His saint?

The Gospel is for ALL, for the sheep as well as the goat alike.

Just like the rain pour on the good and the bad alike.

And both benefit from it. This is common grace.

Even if we're not chosen, we aught to praise God and give glory to him.

Even if I am not a relative of the King, I will bow before the King because I live in his country.

God is sovereign.

Luke 19:36-40 (All creation praise God. Even the stones will cry out praising him)
 36 As He was going, they were spreading their coats on the road. 37 As soon as He was approaching, near the descent of (U)the Mount of Olives, the whole crowd of the disciples began to (V)praise God [p]joyfully with a loud voice for all the [q]miracles which they had seen, 38 shouting:
“(W)Blessed is the (X)King who comes in the name of the Lord;Peace in heaven and (Y)glory in the highest!”39 (Z)Some of the Pharisees [r]in the crowd said to Him, “Teacher, rebuke Your disciples.” 40 But Jesus answered, “I tell you, if these become silent, (AA)the stones will cry out!”

Romans 9:20-21 (If we're made a match who is like up once and done with, we light with all our might praising God even though we knew after which we'll be of no used)
20 On the contrary, who are you, (A)O man, who (B)answers back to God? (C)The thing molded will not say to the molder, “Why did you make me like this,” will it? 21 Or does not the potter have a right over the clay, to make from the same lump one vessel [a]for honorable use and another [b]for common use?

Psalm 148 (The Whole Creation Invoked to Praise the Lord.)
148 [a]Praise [b]the Lord!
Praise the Lord (A)from the heavens;
Praise Him (B)in the heights!
2 Praise Him, (C)all His angels;
Praise Him, (D)all His hosts!
3 Praise Him, sun and moon;
Praise Him, all stars of light!
4 Praise Him, [c](E)highest heavens,
And the (F)waters that are above the heavens!
5 Let them praise the name of the Lord,
For (G)He commanded and they were created.
6 He has also (H)established them forever and ever;
He has made a (I)decree which will not pass away.
7 Praise the Lord from the earth,
(J)Sea monsters and all (K)deeps;
8 (L)Fire and hail, (M)snow and (N)clouds;
(O)Stormy wind, (P)fulfilling His word;
9 (Q)Mountains and all hills;
Fruit (R)trees and all cedars;
10 (S)Beasts and all cattle;
(T)Creeping things and winged fowl;
11 (U)Kings of the earth and all peoples;
Princes and all judges of the earth;
12 Both young men and virgins;
Old men and children.
13 Let them praise the name of the Lord,
For His (V)name alone is exalted;
His (W)glory is above earth and heaven.
14 And He has (X)lifted up a horn for His people,
(Y)Praise for all His godly ones;
Even for the sons of Israel, a people (Z)near to Him.
[d]Praise [e]the Lord!

Revelation 13:8 New American Standard Bible (NASB)
8 All who (A)dwell on the earth will worship him, everyone (B)whose name has not been [a]written (C)from the foundation of the world in the (D)book of life of (E)the Lamb who has been slain.

The elect according to the bible needs to be awaken.

2 Timothy 2:10 New American Standard Bible (NASB)
10 For this reason (A)I endure all things for (B)the sake of those who are chosen, (C)so that they also may obtain the (D)salvation which is in (E)Christ Jesus and with it (F)eternal glory.

~John Piper

1 Corinthians 1:23-24 says, "We preach Christ crucified, a stumbling block to Jews and folly to Gentiles, but to those who are called, both Jew and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God." Notice the two kinds of "calls" implied in this text.

First, the preaching of Paul goes out to all, both Jews and Greeks. This is the general call of the gospel. It offers salvation to all who will believe on the crucified Christ. But by and large it falls on unreceptive ears and is called foolishness.

But then, secondly, Paul refers to another kind of call. He says that among those who hear there are some who are "called" in such a way that they no longer regard the cross as foolishness but as the wisdom and power of God. What else can this call be but the irresistible call of God out of darkness into the light of God? If ALL who are called in this sense regard the cross as the power of God, then something in the call must effect the faith. This is irresistible grace.
