Did God limit our age?

Did God limit our age? And if He did, why did He when people in the bible like Noah could live up to 950 years?

Genesis 6:3
3 Then the Lord said, “(A)My Spirit shall not [b]strive with man forever, [c](B)because he also is flesh; [d]nevertheless his days shall be one hundred and twenty years.”

Genesis 6:5
5 Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great on the earth, and that (D)every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. 6 (E)The Lord was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was (F)grieved [e]in His heart.

Imagine if Hitler were to live 950 Years old what would happen to the world? The world would be in a chaos had not God intervene.

God created Adam and Eve because He wants them to lives happily eternally with God in the garden of eden. But because they have eaten the fruits of the knowledge of good and evil, they now know evil and is dangerous for mankind to live that long with the knowledge of evil. An idle mind is a devil's workshop. A few hundred years in the world would have made you a human with super intelligent and with a body that does not age, you could do amazing feat. That is very dangerous.

Since we are all fallen, it makes no sense to live this long. For all our days are but labor and sorrow. God is being merciful to have our life span reduce.

Psalm 90:10
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
10 As for the days of our [a]life, [b]they contain seventy years,
Or if due to strength, (A)eighty years,
Yet their pride is but (B)labor and sorrow;
For soon it is gone and we (C)fly away.

Do not despair! This is not the end of it. For there is still hope.

1 Corinthians 15:57
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
57 but (A)thanks be to God, who gives us the (B)victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

1 John 4:10
New American Standard Bible
In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. (Propitiation here means appeasing the wrath of God in place of us)

Romans 5:9
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
9 Much more then, having now been justified [a](A)by His(Jesus) blood, we shall be saved (B)from the wrath of God through Him(Jesus).

God now is not angry with our sin because Jesus appease the wrath of God by absorbing the punishment due us. When God is not angry with us, we can then dwell in the presence of God.

Jesus has drink the cup of the wrath of God in place of us.(Matthew 26:39)

Matthew 26:39
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
39 And He went a little beyond them, and fell on His face and prayed, saying, “My Father, if it is possible, let (A)this cup pass from Me; (B)yet not as I will, but as You will.”

The following verses explain that the cup contains the wrath of God.

Jeremiah 25:15
This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, said to me: "Take from my hand this cup filled with the wine of my wrath and make all the nations to whom I send you drink it.

Isaiah 51:22
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
22 Thus says your Lord, the Lord, even your God
Who (A)contends for His people,
“Behold, I have taken out of your hand the (B)cup of reeling,
The [a]chalice of My anger;
You will never drink it again.

John 3:36
New American Standard Bible
He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not obey the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.”

John 6:40
New American Standard Bible
For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who beholds the Son and believes in Him will have eternal life, and I Myself will raise him up on the last day.” (Jesus Himself will raise you up on the last day. And mankind again will live happily ever after just like the days of Adam and Eve.)

Psalm 150:6
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
6 Let (A)everything that has breath praise [a]the Lord.
[b]Praise [c]the Lord!
