Repent! And start believing!

Repent! And start believing!
======================

Romans 11:5-7 NKJV
Even so then, at this present time there is a remnant according to the election of grace. And if by grace, then it is no longer of works; otherwise grace is no longer grace. But if it is of works, it is no longer grace; otherwise work is no longer work. What then? Israel has not obtained what it seeks; but the elect have obtained it, and the rest were blinded.

We can't have both grace and work at the same time.

If by grace, then it is no longer of works; otherwise grace is no longer grace.

Therefore there is no such thing as God do His part and we do our part.

The saving act of God is not something that man can partake in.

Consider the greatness of the work. Partaking even 0.1 percent of it will cost your life.

Consider helping God create even 0.1 percent of the sun, you will burn yourself to death before you even come near.

Is obeying the ordinance of God regarded as works?

No. Obeying the ordinance of God are not works.

However if man preaches obeying the ordinance of God as a prerequisite for salvation, he has turn the ordinance of God into work base salvation.

Salvation by works steal away the glory due God. Stealing the glory of God is a hideous sin.

And it is the same sin committed by Satan himself.

Pride is the primary way that we steal God’s glory. Satan’s fall was due to pride and jealously. Isaiah 14:12-14

If God did not spare even the Angel by committing such crime, He may not spare you either.

Attributing the salvation of a person by what he has done instead of what Christ has done, is a blasphemy against the Holy Spirit.

The blasphemy of the Spirit is the same as the unpardonable sin, it is the state of continued unbelief that Christ alone saved.

There is no pardon for a person who dies in unbelief. Continual rejection of the Holy Spirit’s promptings to trust in Jesus Christ is the unpardonable blasphemy against Him.

Mark 3:29
New King James Version (NKJV)
but he who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is subject to eternal condemnation”

Remember what is stated in John 3:16: “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

Baptism is something beautiful depicting the saving act of Christ.( Colossians 2:12)

Believing is something beautiful. An inner working of the spirit in a mans heart resulting in the believing of the gospel. When you believe, you know something radically have happen in you and that is not of your own doing but by the grace of God. ( Philippians 2:13)

1 John 5:1 NASB
Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and whoever loves the Father loves the child born of Him.

Repenting is something beautiful when the spirit of God works in the man's heart. Causing that man to realise what a wretch he was before God. That he starts to hate what he once love and love what he once hate.
(Romans 7:21-24)

All of these have been tarnished when unbeliever of the gospel claiming them as a prerequisite for salvation , they emphatically made what is once beautiful as meritorious work to gain salvation hence stealing away the glory due Christ.

Galatians 1:9 NASB
As we have said before, so I say again now, if any man is preaching to you a gospel contrary to what you received, he is to be accursed!

“O faithless generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I bear with you? Mark 9:19

Repent now and believe in the gospel. Only Christ alone can save you.

Acts of the Apostles 4:11-12 NLT
For Jesus is the one referred to in the Scriptures, where it says, ‘The stone that you builders rejected has now become the cornerstone.’ There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.”

Not your baptism. Not your believe. Not your Repentance.

Are you still holding on to baptism as a prerequisite for salvation?

Are you still holding on to believing as a prerequisite for salvation?

Are you still holding on to Repentance as a prerequisite for salvation?

Let it go and Believe in the gospel!

For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast. Ephesians 2:8-9 NASB

Stop boasting in your system of attaining salvation. Pride goes before destruction (Proverbs 16:18)

If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin lies at the door. And its desire is for you, but you should rule over it.” (Genesis 4:7)

You are officially declaring war with God when you claim anything as a prerequisite for salvation apart from Christ alone.

Declaring any form of works as a prerequisite for salvation, competes with the glory due Christ.

Competing with the Glory of Christ will have dire consequence. For our God is a jealous God and a consuming fire. Deuteronomy 6:15

He will not share His glory with another.

For My own sake, for My own sake, I will do it; For how should My name be profaned? And I will not give My glory to another. Isaiah 48:11 NKJV

Repent now of your unbelief. And be Baptize, not to be save by baptism but by Christ.

But unless you repent you will all likewise perish. Luke 13:3

But except ye repent; of sin, and particularly of the disbelief of the Messiah: ye shall likewise perish; or perish, in like manner, as these Galileans did. ~Gill's Exposition of the Entire Bible

In Exodus 20:5, it is not that God is jealous or envious because someone has something He wants or needs. Exodus 20:4-5 says, "You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God..." Notice that God is jealous when someone gives to another something that rightly belongs to Him.

In these verses, God is speaking of people making idols and bowing down and worshiping those idols instead of giving God the worship that belongs to Him alone. God is possessive of the worship and service that belong to Him. It is a sin (as God points out in this commandment) to worship or serve anything other than God. It is a sin when we desire, or we are envious, or we are jealous of someone because he has something that we do not have. It is a different use of the word "jealous" when God says He is jealous. What He is jealous of belongs to Him; worship and service belong to Him alone, and are to be given to Him alone.

Perhaps a practical example will help us understand the difference. If a husband sees another man flirting with his wife, he is right to be jealous, for only he has the right to flirt with his wife. This type of jealousy is not sinful. Rather, it is entirely appropriate. Being jealous for something that God declares to belong to you is good and appropriate. Jealousy is a sin when it is a desire for something that does not belong to you. Worship, praise, honor, and adoration belong to God alone, for only He is truly worthy of it. Therefore, God is rightly jealous when worship, praise, honor, or adoration is given to idols. This is precisely the jealousy the apostle Paul described in 2 Corinthians 11:2, "I am jealous for you with a godly jealousy..."

Now your confident in Baptism, your confident in your belief and your confident in your own repentance are your idols. Repent.

Your confident in your system of Believe , Repent and Baptize as a perquisite for salvation has become your idols. It has become your pride. Repent.

Have the Lord grab you? Have He shown you that you are stepping in His holy ground? Exodus 3:5

Did He prevent you from sinning against Him? Did He open your eyes. Did the Lord shown mercy to you through His word?

If so turn from your ways now. Give praise and glory due Him for His mercy. For the Lord our God is a gracious God.

I Peter 2:7 NKJV
Therefore, to you who believe, He is precious; but to those who are disobedient, “The stone which the builders rejected Has become the chief cornerstone,”

Stop provoking the Lord your God to anger. For our Lord is a consuming fire.

Therefore if God is willing, let us then leave the elementary principles of Christ and move on to greater things of God.

Hebrews 6:1-3 NKJV
Therefore, leaving the discussion of the elementary principles of Christ, let us go on to perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God, of the doctrine of baptisms, of laying on of hands, of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. And this we will do if God permits.
