15 “I know all the things you do, that you are neither hot nor cold. I wish that you were one or the other! 16 But since you are like lukewarm water, neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth! 17 You say, ‘I am rich. I have everything I want. I don’t need a thing!’ And you don’t realize that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked. 18 So I advise you to buy gold from me—gold that has been purified by fire. Then you will be rich. Also buy white garments from me so you will not be shamed by your nakedness, and ointment for your eyes so you will be able to see. 19 I correct and discipline everyone I love. So be diligent and turn from your indifference.

What is being hot for God?

Being hot for God is not running all over the places doing things for God.

At least being hot for God is showing interests for the doctrines of God.

An eagerness to know the attributes of God and who God is.

Rather being is lukewarm is being disintersted in the matter of God. Being Indifferent about the doctrine of God. (Matthew 11:17)

Be fair-minded like the bearean who received the word with all readiness and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so. (Acts 17:11)

Don't scoff at things you don't understand. (2 Peter 2:12)

You can't defend your faith without knowing the truth. You need to study the Bible. Don't ever imagine that pastors and seminary professors hold a monopoly of this task.

Without study, you cannot know what to defend. You don't even know what you are being accused of.

You must understand the basic doctrine of the faith so that you can recognise false doctrines and prevent wrong teaching from undermining your faith and hurting others.

You said you love God..

But do you bother to find out about the attribute of God , His Sovereignty, His Glory?

Are you interested in studying His doctrine?

Or are you just looking forward to talking about movies later on?

You said you love God..

But when God said: "look at me! Look at how I elected you before the foundation of the world!"

Look at me! Look at how I predestined all things to the glory of my son Jesus Christ your saviour!

You said: " oh well... That's none of my business as long as I have my salvation."

You responded with ya.. l know God loved me and that's enough.

You can't even be bother. Disinterested and indifferent is the greatest humility to God.

You said you love God...

But your heart is always looking to some other things to be entertain.

You said you love God...

But you continue to brush Him away..
Scoffing at the things you don't understand. Ha ha ha! Once save always save... you retorted.

Let thoses who have ears listen!
For the days of the Lord is coming. When the judgement is passed it cannot be undone.

You said you love God..
Do you tremble before him. Do you even care?

When your favourite celebrity tilt a certain angle, you scream with ecstasy.
But when God bids you to know Him. And you said ya I know He loves me and that's enough.

You said you love God...

When God looks down from heaven can He find anyone who understand?
Anyone who truly seek of Him? (Psalm 14:2)
