I don't think God's death on the cross due Christ was a failure.
I do not believe any body He intended to die for is failing in that area.
They will not go to hell. On the other hand I don't believe in universalism (The theological doctrine that all people will eventually be saved) either , that His salvation automatically assume every body gonna be there which some people have interpret the roman passage of first Adam. "In Adam all die, in Christ all will be made alive. I don't interpret that in a universalist way.
