Morality without Christ is no gospel.

Morality without Christ is no gospel.

Repentance is not about trusting in methods or ways in giving up Sin through this therapy or that programmes.

It is about turning your heart toward Christ, abiding in Him who holds the key to set prisoner free from Sin.

~Psalm 146:7
New Living Translation (NLT)
7 He gives justice to the oppressed
    and food to the hungry.
The Lord frees the prisoners.

~Romans 8:2
New Living Translation (NLT)
2 And because you belong to him, the power[a] of the life-giving Spirit has freed you[b] from the power of sin that leads to death.

"Repentance" in that sense should not be our idolatry in the hope of securing salvation.

We should not trust in our "repentance" to gain salvation instead we should place our hope in Christ to grant us repentance.

~2 Timothy 2:25
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
25 (A)with gentleness correcting those who are in opposition, (B)if perhaps God may grant them repentance leading to (C)the knowledge of the truth,

When God have granted you repentance, Sin loses it's power in you resulting in you conforming to His image day by day. It is then that you will realise that the spirit of God is indeed working in you. For it comes like a wind. You will not know when exactly you have repented because it does not come from you but from He who grants.

Romans 8:29
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
29 For those whom He (A)foreknew, He also (B)predestined to become (C)conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the (D)firstborn among many brethren;

~John 3:8
New Living Translation (NLT)
The wind blows wherever it wants. Just as you can hear the wind but can’t tell where it comes from or where it is going, so you can’t explain how people are born of the Spirit.”

Therefore workout your salvation with fear and trembling because it is God who is at work in you, both to will and to work (E)for His good pleasure.

~Philippians 2:12-13
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
12 So then, my beloved, (A)just as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your (B)salvation with (C)fear and trembling; 13 for it is (D)God who is at work in you, both to will and to work (E)for His good pleasure.

You do not repent from sin to get liberation but you are liberated from Sin because the Lord have granted you repentance.

We should not pursue repentance and neglect Christ who is the ultimate key to repentance. Instead we should pray earnestly for Christ to grant us repentance and wait upon the Lord in eager anticipation.

Psalm 5:3
New Living Translation (NLT)
Listen to my voice in the morning, Lord.
Each morning I bring my requests to you and wait expectantly.

Psalm 130:6
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
My soul waits for the Lord
More than the watchmen (A)for the morning;
Indeed, more than the watchmen for the morning.

There is no way one can repent unless God has granted it to them.

~John 6:44 (ESV)
44 No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him. And I will raise him up on the last day.

How can a pig turn from eating junk unless God has work in it supernaturally to become a man resulting the now man turning from eating junk and eat proper food?

Titus 3:5
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
(A)He saved us, (B)not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but (C)according to His mercy, by the (D)washing of regeneration and (E)renewing by the Holy Spirit,

Apart from Christ we can do nothing.

~John 15:5
New Living Translation (NLT)
5 “Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing.

~1 Corinthians 1:18-31
New Living Translation (NLT)

The Wisdom of God
18 The message of the cross is foolish to those who are headed for destruction! But we who are being saved know it is the very power of God. 19 As the Scriptures say,

“I will destroy the wisdom of the wise
and discard the intelligence of the intelligent.”[a]

20 So where does this leave the philosophers, the scholars, and the world’s brilliant debaters? God has made the wisdom of this world look foolish. 21 Since God in his wisdom saw to it that the world would never know him through human wisdom, he has used our foolish preaching to save those who believe. 22 It is foolish to the Jews, who ask for signs from heaven. And it is foolish to the Greeks, who seek human wisdom. 23 So when we preach that Christ was crucified, the Jews are offended and the Gentiles say it’s all nonsense.

24 But to those called by God to salvation, both Jews and Gentiles,[b] Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God. 25 This foolish plan of God is wiser than the wisest of human plans, and God’s weakness is stronger than the greatest of human strength.26 Remember, dear brothers and sisters, that few of you were wise in the world’s eyes or powerful or wealthy[c] when God called you. 27 Instead, God chose things the world considers foolish in order to shame those who think they are wise. And he chose things that are powerless to shame those who are powerful. 28 God chose things despised by the world,[d] things counted as nothing at all, and used them to bring to nothing what the world considers important. 29 As a result, no one can ever boast in the presence of God.

30 God has united you with Christ Jesus. For our benefit God made him to be wisdom itself. Christ made us right with God; he made us pure and holy, and he freed us from sin. 31 Therefore, as the Scriptures say, “If you want to boast, boast only about the Lord.”[e]

~Colossians 2:3
New Living Translation (NLT)
3 In him lie hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

~Mark 4:25
New Living Translation (NLT)
25 To those who listen to my teaching, more understanding will be given. But for those who are not listening, even what little understanding they have will be taken away from them.”
