Loving the poor requires the heart of the Lord.

In order to attain the heart of God we need to under go some training because we're not incline to Love in the first place.

The following scripture I believe there is a reason why God wants us to obey so that we are able to attain the heart of God.

Genesis 9:3-4

From the above scripture I have learnt that our God is a compassion God, full of mercy and Love.

He is making every efford He can to prevent our heart from being accustom to cruelty.

The rule that God have set for us is for our own good, so that by obeying it, we guard our hearts from harderning which results from the merciless act.

You see the bible also never says that cooking and eating a kitten meat is wrong. But do you think is okay to eat a kitten's meat?

This is about humanity. About the effect it will have in your heart. Compassion and mercy is very important in God's eye.

Imagine the effect it would have upon your heart by consuming "food" as such.

Eating meat that has blood in it is not good for the soul. Just like playing violent games, watching porn is not good for the heart.

How can you go out and Love other people having a heart that is not right with God?

How can you present yourself in prayer to God without first confessing your sin to one another.

How can you love your spouse if you're unfaithful to her.

How can you fellowship with your brother if you still are unforgiving towards him.

By always having the poor with you is an opportunity to exercise compassion and mercy through serving them.

Compassion and mercy is good for the heart. A heart filled with compassion is pure. And a pure in heart can see God.

As you imitate the Lord in the ways he Loves the poor, you will understands the heart of a Loving God and hence acquired the heart of God growing in every way more and more like Him.
