Spiritual War

We're all spiritual being created by God. You see if the soul live inside the body, the Soul is greater than the body. With the help of the holy spirit we should be able to overcome the sinful nature of this body. The soul should control the body and not the other way round. There is a spiritual battle going on inside us. Let's us submit our spirit to God and let the Holy spirit take control of our life helping us in this war that is waging inside us. And remember not to touch wine or other alcoholic drinks because the spirit can't dwell in a drunken body. Alcoholic will only enhance the sinful nature of the body thereby overpowering the spirit.

Zechariah 12:1
The LORD, who stretches out the heavens, who lays the foundation of the earth, and who forms the human spirit within a person

Hebrews 12:9
Moreover, we have all had human fathers who disciplined us and we respected them for it. How much more should we submit to the Father of spirits and live!

Psalms 51:11
Do not banish me from your presence, and don’t take your Holy Spirit from me.

James 2:26
As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead.

Mark 12:36
For David himself, speaking under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, said, ‘The Lord said to my Lord, Sit in the place of honor at my right hand until I humble your enemies beneath your feet.’

Luke 1:15
for he will be great in the eyes of the Lord. He must never touch wine or other alcoholic drinks. He will be filled with the Holy Spirit, even before his birth.

Luke 2:25
At that time there was a man in Jerusalem named Simeon. He was righteous and devout and was eagerly waiting for the Messiah to come and rescue Israel. The Holy Spirit was upon him

Luke 3:22
and the Holy Spirit, in bodily form, descended on him like a dove. And a voice from heaven said, “You are my dearly loved Son, and you bring me great joy.”

Luke 11:13
So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him.”

The more we understand about the nature of man, the more we see that he is primarily a soul who happens to live in a body, not a body who happens to have a soul.
