Man are the Lover and the women beloved

It is mention in songs of songs that the man are the Lover and the women beloved. How blessed is the Lover who so eagerly provide for his beloved for this is his pride and glory. And how sweet it is for the beloved whom readily anticipate what the Lover has to offer for this is her dream and her desire. Sometime I don’t understand why they switch role. Perhaps this is the curse of the beloved. That the beloved will desire to control her lover, but the lover will rule over the beloved. This is sad... Lord have mercy on your people.
