The greatest fear in life for me is meaninglessness.

The greatest fear in life for me is meaninglessness. It’s like when you open the door to see nothing but desert. It’s like when you grope about in the dark and found nothing... Existences are but non-existence... But bless are those who hopes is in the Lord. Where streams of living water will flow from within him. Therefore guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life. (Proverb 4:23)

Mark Twain Quotation
Oh, this human life, this earthy life, this weary life! It is so groveling, and so mean; its ambitions are so paltry, its prides so trivial, its vanities so childish; and the glories that it values and applauds- lord, how empty!
