We are enslave to our freedom.

We are direct by the freedom of our will.
And is slave to whatever master us.
If our freedom dictate our ways then it is our freedom that we are subject to.

And if our master is our heart, then how heavy must that yoke be for we are often weary by its unreasonable demand of wants and need.

The character of the heart.

Mark 7:21-23
For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness. All these evil things come from within and defile a man.”
But if our master is God, then how free and light will our life be.

The character of God.

Corinthians 13:4-7
Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

For the yoke of God is easy and His burden is light.

Matthew 11:28-30
Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

Meanwhile as we persevere in our obedience, perhaps God in His mercy would be gracious to grant us true freedom and a new heart that is able to truly taste joy and peace.

Ezekiel 36:26-27
I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them.
